I got my first opportunity to assist on a YES!+ course, right in Chennai!The plan for the weekend was to attend a coworker's wedding, but it involved an 8h train ride. For some reason, I stayed in Chennai and I'm glad I did!
I got in touch with a volunteer on Saturday, and immediately he told me about a special YES!+ course held for creative people that was happening in Chennai. He said I should come for the last day (Sunday) of the course. Little I knew when I got there that I would be sitting in front of 40+ people with 2 amazing teachers! I said previously that I was missing the AOL family, right? Well, I just made a heap of new friends ready to make my Chennai experience an unforgettable one :) I was told none of the 3 YES!+ Chennai teachers are in town, and that they need a lot of help. Great, I guess I was sent to here for that specific reason!
